Analysis of a building's energy consumption
All new build non-residential buildings require SBEM Calculations (Simplified Building Energy Model) to comply with Building Regulations Approved Document L2A.
These calculations are the non-residential equivalent to residential SAP Calculations and demonstrate compliance with Part L2A by comparing the designed Building CO2 Emission Rate (BER) with the Target CO2 Emission Rate (TER). SBEM Calculations are required for all non-dwellings including small retail units, offices, hotels and retirement homes etc.
With a fast turnaround available, Energy Acoustics can assist you in achieving an energy efficient building that demonstrates compliance with all Part L2A requirements. We can also provide a Commercial Air Tightness Test for your development at the end of construction to complete the SBEM Calculation and produce your EPC.
Should your non-residential development also require Sound Insulation Testing, Energy Acoustics can provide a Part L and Part E compliance package to help minimise your costs.
